The Kingswells Community Council (KCC) meeting took place on Sunday, 16 November 2025, to discuss community matters, ongoing projects, and future plans.
The Kingswells Community Council is made up of local residents who volunteer their time to represent the views of the village. They act as a vital link between the community and Aberdeen City Council, raising local concerns and providing feedback on issues like planning, roads, public services, and local developments.
The Council also works to support community projects, events, and improvements—helping to ensure that Kingswells remains a safe, well-connected, and vibrant place to live.

The third meeting of the newly formed Kingswells Community Council (KCC) took place on Sunday, 14 September. The meeting opened with the announcement that one member had stepped down to personal commitments. The minutes of the previous meeting were then formally approved.

The second official meeting of the newly constituted Kingswells Community Council took place on Sunday, 17 August 2025. Proceedings followed a set agenda and commenced with a warm welcome from the Chair, along with apologies noted from those unable to attend.

KINGSWELLS COMMUNITY COUNCIL is pleased to provide an update regarding the new inbound bus stop on Old Lang Stracht, serving passengers travelling towards the city centre. This follows recent correspondence from the Kingswells Community Council requesting clarity on when the stop would become operational.

We are pleased to share that the newly formed Kingswells Community Council held its first official meeting on Sunday.
Meeting are held at the community centre and are open to the general public.

The Kingswells/Sheddocksley/Summerhill ward is represented by three dedicated councillors who serve our community on Aberdeen City Council. They work to address local issues, support residents, and contribute to city-wide decisions.

Councillor David Cameron serves as the Lord Provost of Aberdeen, acting as the civic head and ambassador for the city. As a representative of the SNP, he is committed to enhancing community well-being and ensuring that the voices of Kingswells residents are heard at the highest levels of local government.
