First Meeting of Your New Kingswells Community Council
We are pleased to share that the newly formed Kingswells Community Council held its first official meeting on Sunday.
The Kingswells Community Council is made up of local residents who volunteer their time to represent the views of the village. They act as a vital link between the community and Aberdeen City Council, raising local concerns and providing feedback on issues like planning, roads, public services, and local developments. The Council also works to support community projects, events, and improvements—helping to ensure that Kingswells remains a safe, well-connected, and vibrant place to live.

The Kingswells/Sheddocksley/Summerhill ward is represented by three dedicated councillors who serve our community on Aberdeen City Council. They work to address local issues, support residents, and contribute to city-wide decisions.
Councillor Kate Blake represents the Scottish Labour Party in our ward. She is dedicated to addressing social issues, supporting education initiatives, and working towards a more inclusive and equitable community for all residents.
Councillor Steve Delaney, the Depute Provost, has been a steadfast advocate for the Kingswells area. A member of the Scottish Liberal Democrats, he focuses on improving local services, including public transportation, and fostering community engagement.
Councillor David Cameron serves as the Lord Provost of Aberdeen, acting as the civic head and ambassador for the city. As a representative of the SNP, he is committed to enhancing community well-being and ensuring that the voices of Kingswells residents are heard at the highest levels of local government.
