KINGSWELLS COMMUNITY COUNCIL is pleased to provide an update regarding the new inbound bus stop on Old Lang Stracht, serving passengers travelling towards the city centre. This follows recent correspondence from the Kingswells Community Council requesting clarity on when the stop would become operational.
KCC have now received confirmation that the bus stop has been fully registered and is officially in use. Arrangements are in place for the installation of a timetable and bus stop flag in the near future to complete the final elements of the stop’s setup.
Furthermore, KCC has formally proposed the introduction of a “Hail & Ride” facility to assist residents in the vicinity of the Five Mile Cottages, who currently face limited access to local bus services. This proposal is currently under review by the bus operator in conjunction with Aberdeen City Council’s Traffic Management Team. A site visit is planned to assess the viability of this request. Please note that implementation of a Hail & Ride facility may require registration with the Traffic Commissioner, which could result in some delay.
KCC will continue to engage with the relevant authorities and provide further updates as they become available.
