Officers will head to the Corse Avenue/Kingswood Drive area tomorrow to speak to local residents.

The incident happened between 12.30pm and 1pm last Saturday when a man in his 40s or 50s approached a 16-year-old girl on the street and grabbed her arm.

The girl was not injured and nothing was taken from her.

Extensive inquiries have been carried out this past week to identify the individual involved including CCTV and house-to-house work in addition to high visibility patrols.

Detective Inspector Allen Shaw, who is leading these inquiries, said: “We have received a lot of valuable information from the public so far but it may take our officers being in the area once again tomorrow and asking questions to jog someone’s memory.

“We will be asking people to carry out a brief questionnaire to find out if they remember anything of any significance from last Saturday, or if they recognise the description of the man we want to trace.

“Officers will also be stopping motorists who might have been driving through last Saturday incase they remember anything of significance but just haven’t spoken to Police yet because they don’t live in Kingswells.

“Thank you in advance for your patience and support.”

He added: “Once again I want to stress just how unusual incidents of this nature are in the city let alone a community like Kingswells.

“It is crucial we get as much assistance as we can from people who live in the area to assist with our investigation.”

The man is described as being in his 40s to 50s with a slim build with gaunt features. He was wearing a black baseball cap, dark-framed glasses, a blue and red striped shirt and blue jeans.
