The incident happened near Blacktop, west of the Blacktop junction near Kingswells, shortly after 7am.

The grey Renault ended up on its side in the middle of the road after the accident.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were all called to the one-car crash.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesman confirmed two appliances from North Anderson Drive station were deployed to the scene.

However, they did not need to use cutting equipment to remove the man from the vehicle.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We did have an ambulance en route but our assistance was not required, we were advised by the firefighters on scene.”

A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed there were no injuries.

The road was blocked for more than half an hour, but reopened shortly before 8am.
