A husband and wife pharmacist team have raised £6000 for the ARCHIE Foundation thanks to a fundraising dinner and auction in Aberdeen recently.
Brian and Fiona Arris operate seven pharmacies in Balmedie, Kingswells, Fountainhall, Summerhill, Torry and Kincorth including Dickies Chemist that supplies medicines to oil rigs and ships in the city.
The dinner at the Douglas Hotel was part of an ongoing fundraising campaign for the ARCHIE Foundation.  It has already raised £4000 thanks to the generosity of staff, customers of the pharmacies, family and friends.
Commenting on the success of the event, Brian Arris said: “This was our first large-scale charity event and we are very proud of the amount raised for the ARCHIE Foundation.
“We really appreciate the hard work and effort put in by our colleagues and friends in achieving this wonderful total.”
