After some pretty miserable weather for May, it was a real delight to see the sun shining on Saturday morning for the annual Kingswells Primary Mayfair, organised by the school PTA.
The doors opened at 11am and a steady stream of people saw us with over 800 people through the school door. As always the games were a big hit, with a new bean bag clown and lob a loo roll proving to be very popular. Face painting, a nail bar, tattoos, coconut shy, golf and football games, a Wii competition, and loads of fabulous craft activities left people with plenty of activities to choose from.
Towards the end of the day the hall was packed to capacity as the eagerly awaited dancers came on stage. Danz Creations performed a series of Highland Dances, followed by Kingswells P7 street dancers “Domination” who gave a fabulous display to some great applause from children and parents alike.
Rounded off with a great raffle, which in itself raised over £3000, the day drew to a successful close.
The PTA would like to thank everyone for supporting the event, for donations for the raffle and home baking, for selling raffle tickets and most importantly for coming to the May Fair, collectively these people are responsible for raising a phenomenal £9000.
