Police Report
|
|
|
|
Police report was received and distributed by email.
In addition the following points were identified:
- There is concern about the changes at the Kingswells Roundabout. ACC have advised that they will implement changes when the weather permits white lining. Ian to request details of the proposed changes.
- The school football pitches have been damaged. Police are aware. Colleen should raise with the parent council.
- CCTV may need to be adjusted at the middle car park.
- Bottles have been left at the lane near Derbeth Place
- Reg does not think a licence is required for the Carol Singing event, but will check and advise if required.

Points from Member of the Public
Concern was raised about the changes to the road layout at the Kingswells roundabout. There is an increase in the number of ‘near misses’ and the flow of traffic through the village. The markings on the roundabout were unclear.
There was general agreement with the comments made, but it was pointed out that the AWPR should resolve many of the current problems at the roundabout and consequently there would be limited funding for other changes.

White Myres – the only valid objection would be the misuse of greenbelt. Tom is to check date, and prepare a response.

East Middlefield development will go to planning committee on 11th December.
Benn Reid Garden Centre will be in direct competition with the new Dobbies. The location will be problematic for access as entrance will be available in one direction only. This is another example of inappropriate use of green space network. This is a worrying issue as this was supposed to be ‘special’ and ‘protected’ greenbelt.
