Police Report

Inspector Munro provided police report by email.

In addition the following points were identified:

  • Play park at Wellside Wynd was vandalised on Halloween night.
  • Car tyre marks on the football pitch at Fairley Road.
  • Field at the back of Cromar Gardens has been churned up by a quad bike.
  • Fairley Road school has £600 of damage to doors.
  • Crossing near Kingswood Drive / Broad dykes has been damaged. Is this bad driving or speeding?

Police will be checking speeding in Kingswells in December.

Additional yellow lines near Cromar Gardens have been approved, and now await funding.

The changes in road layout at Kingswells roundabout have not gone as planned. Congestion has been made worse with the Cults traffic being moved from the right hand lane to the left hand lane. The problem has been reported to the roads department and Andrew Smith will review the changes this week.

KCC will pass the project to the Kingswells Community Project for completion. KCC will fund the project from the Small Project Grant.

Councillors

Wendy advised that Clinterty might be changed from a permanent gypsy site to include a halting site. This would require an expansion of the existing facility. The proposal will require to be ratified in December. If the changes were approved then Kingswells Park and Ride site would not be required as a halting site.

KCC welcomed the proposal and will write to Council to show support for the proposal.

The site will also appoint two assistant managers.
