1. Profile of KCC: suggestion that KCC have a group photo and prepare a group statement about what we hope to achieve. This should be published in the next newsletter. This was accepted by those present.
2. CCTV: John still to obtain prices. David to write a letter to ACC to explain what is happening regarding the £3,000 grant.
3. Pond: there is no problem with Lakeside Pond. The processes are natural.
4. Christmas Tree: San and Alex to talk to the Youth Group to see if any volunteers can be encouraged to assist in decoration and hopefully provide a sense of ownership.

8 Councillor Stephen’s Update |
|
1. Bancon Development are to tidy up the area at the end of the Community Centre where the footpath is ‘dangerous’. They are to fix the footpath and build a wall. This news was welcomed by all present.
2. The extension to the Community Centre is progressing through planning.
3. The Park & Ride event slipped through by mistake when Peter was on holiday. This will not occur again.
4. Peter has agreed to pay for the work to install power to the Christmas Tree. He was asked to try to source Chestnut fencing about 16m long to go around the tree.
5. The lighting along the A944 to the roundabout is now complete and work is in progress to complete to Westhill Roundabout.
6. Sand bins are still to be delivered
7. A welcome to Kingswells sign was discussed, and it was suggested that the community could be involved with the design. Stan is to get some prices and pass to Peter for further consideration.
8. The path opposite Cromar Gardens will be tidied. The process will involve ‘rough’ cutting branches. This was considered inappropriate when used previously, but there was no real alternative. Large branches will be sawn to neaten the effect of rough cutting. The end result is acceptable after a few months growth.
9. Peter to send details of where to obtain bulbs to John. |
