3             Approval of Minutes

The minutes of the last meeting were approved.

 

4             Police Report

 

Police report was presented and is available in electronic format.

 

There is a problem with ‘booze’ bottles. The litter warden will collect and retain.

 

Motor bikes, mini motos, quad bikes are being used at a local farm. Although these are not illegal on private land they do pose a nuisance in terms of noise and are not ‘friendly’ to wildlife. The land is fallow this year, but will be used next, so hopefully things will improve in the future.

 

Independent newspapers are being dumped in the school playground.

 

Travellers have been issued notice to leave.

a)          Environmental

 

Bucksburn and Lakeside Pond

David Urquart  will identify what SMG is responsible for. Marianne McGowan says that SMG is handing this over to the Council.

 

 

Meg to get Sepa to have a look at and check both this pond and the one at Derbeth.

 

Christmas Tree

KCC will arrange to have a base for a Christmas tree and lights in a suitable area near the shops. Meet at 10am on Saturday at the shops to find a suitable location. A sponsor has been found for the tree and part of the cost of the lights.

 

Area in front of the Chemist

 

Meg was given permission to buy some compost and plants for this area.

 

CCTV

John is to approach another contractor to gets some suggestions and a price for CCTV at the shops.

 

Litter Warden

 

Stan was given permission to start the Litter Warden even though all the funding was not in place.
