8             Update from Action Groups

a)          Environmental

Cleanup Person: Stan has placed an advert in the Kingswells News for a suitable person. The wheelie bin has been purchased and was on show. The project has funding for 6 months and will pay for keeping the village centre clean for a radius of about 300m. The position is for 8 hours over 3 days per week. Thanks to Peter for funding for the tools, Stan for his hard work, and local shop keepers for funding for labour.

Bucks Burn: Meg has had Countryside Project look at the burn. The Concraig / Wellside end of the burn is OK, but the Lakeside pond seems to be contaminated. Meg to get Sepa to test the water at both ponds. This will hopefully identify the work that is required.

Marianne McGowan at Stewart Milne Group has volunteered to put us in touch with the correct people at SMG. Alan Stott has a contact in SMG who seems to have the authority to get things done.
