If you check the Scotland map in the link above, Aberdeen Denburn is listed to receive the fibre optic broadband by 31s Mar 2012. Does this mean high speed broadband for Kingswells?

Sadly not. Aberdeen Denburn is the telephone exchange which is located off Hutcheon Street and serves the city centre.
Kingswells is served by the Aberdeen Kingswells telephone exchange which is located in Westhill. This exchange has been upgraded for 21CN so residents in Westhill can receive broadband speeds of around 20Mbps. Unfortunately Kingswells residents connected to the exchange via standard copper cabling cannot benefit from the 21CN as the distance from the exchange is too great. Kingswells residents can only achieve speeds of around 1Mbps using the standard ADSL via copper cabling.
There are no current plans to upgrade the Aberdeen Kingswells exchange to support FTTC i.e. the fibre optic broadband.
