Hi there Wavers, Well where do we start,I am in Concraig and I was with BT Dial-up and upgraded to BTBroadband in March shortly after the service became available. There were several "hiccups" along the way my activation date was 2 March and I eventually got connected on 15 March after many phone calls and emails. Since then I have had no problems with the service. If you look at Broadband Forum you will see that many people have had problems getting connected, mainly due to the fact that the ISP's cannot order on an automated system and have to deal manually and it seems they will not train there staff to do so. I am afraid that I had to resort to emailing the CEO BT Retail. The national call-centres of the ISP's are not aware of the technical arrangements local to Kingswells. Hope this helps

Thanks - I have now ordered with BT online but also called to say the order need to be processed manually etc etc. I got no joy at all with this and am sure that although I am to be connected on the 22 Oct it will not be a success. Any advice???

Wait until after 8pm on 22 October and if your line has been activated then all is well if not, next day contact BTBroadband sales line and ask for Orders Management. They will probably apologise and contact the Provisions Desk, while they are doing that you will be kept on hold,I was on once for 15 minutes. They will come back and give you a new activation date. You might have to go through that procedure three times,if you do and you are still not connected then I suggest you email Ian.Shanks@BT.com,he is Head of BT Public Affairs,Scotland. I had to go through all that back in March.my activation date was 2 March,a week after ordering by phone, and I was eventually connected 15 March. Good luck!!

Likewise, applied for BT BB and 1 week later installed and working. Paying more than other providers but it works!!!

As I understand things the BB service in Concraig,Wellside and Derbeth comes from the Green cabinets not from the exchange directly so any ISP who installs LLU equipment in the exchange will not provide a service to us. If anybody knows differently feel free to correct my understanding.
