I tried again last night at 8.30 and again this morning at 830 but still no connection. I have a long extension lead about 20 metres but I was advised by an Openreach Engineer at the cabinets last week that it should be ok. I also have a 25 metre length of ethernet cable in case I need to plug adsl cable directly into phone socket via micro filter. Ill keep trying over the weekend various methods of connection before I talk to BT on Monday.

Having problems with connection. I have been up and running for 2-3 weeks. Started yesterday afternoon. Connection keeps cutting out. Anyone else having problems?

Still waiting. Work in the area that was holding up supply supposed to be finished. Now I am supposed to have a very convenient fault on my line. If you believe that you believe anything !!!! I'm just about ready to give up now.

Thats funny, there is a technical fault on my line as well now. Got the DSL connection but not activated. I have been told it will be by the end of the week. Haha yeah righto

I am supposed to be getting a phone call to let me know roughly how long it will take to fix as they are supposed to be testing my line today. I guess the complaints lady isn't going to commit herself to a date since I have been getting new dates one after the other which pass without broadband since the 25th of last month. Must be a HUGE fault!

I am getting really fed up,because I lost my Anytime account Im on pay as you go. I used BTs email complaint system on sunday so Im supposed to hear from them within 2 working days so hope to get a response on Wednesday.

Its soul destroying seeing you guys still having problems with BT. Drop me a note on angkindbg@tesco.net and I'll share some things I did to move my access along. Not guaranteeing success but it worked for me. I cant post them on the open forum, but happy to share to the few on here privately - Johnny, Maddie and hblindell. That e-mail address is part of an old dial up account which I'll be shutting this week.

Ive got a lot of sympathy for you guys but why oh why did you choose BT? They have shown complete contempt and ineptitude towards the citizens of Kingswells throughout this whole sorry saga. In my experience where companies are concerned bigger very rarely means better - your just one of thousands of customers who are generally treated with disdain. That said I sincerely hope they will get you guys connected ASAP.

DerbethGrange Thanks - I've done my bit now after four hours on the phone yesterday trying to get through to someone and an hour this morning. My patience has hit its limit. Told I can't cancel as have to wait for code, but can't understand why I need code when I am not activated. Steam coming out of my ears today!!!

Surprise, surprise. Just got through to someone somewhere who told me that I need to phone again on Saturday (huh - who do you get there on a saturday). They will be reviewing the "glitch" in the system then. Oooohhh - gone to a glitch instead of a fault now. Anyway. Tried to cancel. Told that it is the engineers holding it up with their glitch and if I go with any other provider, they will have to go through the engineers as well. Now will stop as at a loss totally for words !!!!!!!

Johnny I signed up with Demon on the reccomendation of someone at work - so far no problems. Incidentaly are you folks who are having problems connected to the same Green cabinet. I m assuming we are connected to the one nearest our homes but maybe I am wrong. Just looking for a link between you all.

At last,connected tonight at 8.30. there was a lot of activity around the green cabinets opposite concraig gds this afternoon,so that might have been the connecting team. I will check for speeds later and post.
