Hi, Does anyone know what is happening with the BT broadband trials in Kingswells. The new BT cabinets have been in place now for a few months. The one next to Derbeth Grange is whirring away and generating a lot of heat - is it active? I am lucky to get 512Kb connection at the moment but would like to move to 2Mb (which I pay for). thanks in advance, Jim Adamson

The latest information I have from Brian Adams MSP is that according to his contact at BT,the trial has been succesfull and now BT are to meet with OFCOM to discuss issues of local loop unbundling and services to be offered to ISPs. These meetings are to take place end of August and decisions are likely early September. There is a message on the news page from Brian Adams and copy of email to OFCOM. All the green cabinets in Derbeth,Concraig and Wellside have been "buzzing" away for most of the summer. Openreach engineers have been working on the cabinets this week. By the way,the reason I contacted Brian Adams was because I was in correspondence and conversation with the BT Customer Service Directors Office and more or less being told they knew nothing and to go away(not in so many words you understand) Hope this helps anyone who is waiting for news
