Well done to the driver of the Red VW Golf this morning at 7am on Kingswells Crescent. They Brought Speeding to an all time low!!!! to overtake going uphill on a dark rainy morning, where people were out walking dogs, paper boys/girls were around...30 MPH is the maximum, not the minimum! that part of the road occasionally has deer on it, swerving to avoid a deer at 60mpm doesnt leave much room for control and if people are on the pavement...... Of course, if ever there is a fatality, they'd be the sorriest people on earth with ever excuse under the sun why they chose to drive like that!

I also noticed a silver (possibly a vectra) car had decided to park through someone's back fence this morning on the main road.

Did anybody else see the Fiesta with a load of kids in it wheelspinning round the shop car park? If it were my kids in there i'd worry, this is the type of driver you read about going off a road at 90mph killing all the occupants!

there was a crash into another garden this morning at 6.30am, road was closed for 7 hrs. same strech of road, twice in a month? the driver is serious, passenger ok I believe. However not sure about the last crash through the fence did notice when road was cloased today, it diverted traffic through kingswells....seems 30mph was optional and 5o mph was acceptable since the road was closed.

The same thing happened a few years back, a drunk taxi driver went into someones garden on the same road, creating £12,000 of damage to the owners mature garden.

I read the article on the website on the crash at the weekend (4/12), some comments :- "It is a very fast road and can be slippery because water runs off from the fields. To be honest, it was an accident waiting to happen. If it's an accident wating to happen, then it's not an accident!. If it was such a bad road with water off the fields, why was there not 20 cars off the road and in somebodies garden? you drive to suit the conditions! "There should be speed restrictions as it is used as a rat-run, and you have to be very careful coming out of that junction as people are driving at more than 60mph." speed restrictions? like what? if it was 30mph, people would still do 60! speed camera or lights is only option Alex Carnie, chairman of Kingswells Community Council, said speed cameras should be introduced before someone was killed. Somebody has been killed!! A police man from Kingswells a few years ago! you can see floweres at the spot going up the hill towards the lights on the dyce side. "Something needs to be done because it is a busy road, especially during rush-hour when traffic can be nose to tail," he added. (*) Something is done, people rat run through kingswells which keeps the volume down! "All it takes is to have a car going at speed and another going slower and you have a recipe for disaster." why? people should drive with caution. Slow cars may hold people up, but that doesnt give anybody a right to overtake when it is not safe to do so! There is no such thing as a dangerous road, only the people who drive on it are dangerous! a simple formula, probability = risk x freqency! basically your more likey to crash if you take risks often. how many times do you see people overtaking on that strech of road "hoping" there is nobody coming the other way? a simple rule - drive to suit the conditions! traffic slow = drive slow, thick fog = drive slow, heavy rain and ice = drive slow. no doubt the Kingswells Comedians will have something funny to say about people losing life, teenagers being injured or shoot slow drivers.

You make some valid points 'Guest' At the very least we need traffic lights on all the Kingswells exits.

traffic lights whatever next Lobby your local councillor & don't be fobbed off with "wait until the WPR is built". Demand them now - it's a road safety issue
