| I am thinking in having truffles for my xmas lunch starter, I have narrowed it down to 3, can anyone advise on which is best at this time of year.
A. Tuber Perigord Black
B. Tuber Magnatum Pico
C. Tuber Macrosporum Vitt |

| Tuber Perigord black and Tuber macrosporum Vitt. are the same thing (black truffles). The Tuber Magnatum Pico (white truffle) is usually considered superior by most experts, but I actually prefer the Tuber Albinum Pico (Whitish truffle). It's more earthy to taste but I think the slight lack of refinment is far better. The best analogy maybe the difference between fillet and sirloin. Or VSOP and XO. The more refined versions can be a bit sickly if over indulged. So for pure snob value go for the Magnatum and if you get sick of eating too many you always have the 42" plasma to entertain you while on the great white telephone. |

| I am not looking for an oily, I am making my own money. However, I have to declare that I am now, since becoming single again, dating a very successful oily. I take him out for dinner, then he takes me out. I don't take advantage of his money and I don't think I'm something cos I've managed to pull him. The truth be told, he is also seperated and left his wife cos she was a boring housewife and did nothing all day but collect and polish antiques. |
