This truly is community spirit; we have the wealthy commingling with the not so wealthy on the forum, the gracious 5 bedroom owner with the butler willing to had out free food to anyone who might need it in Kingswells?? And on top of all that the wealthier ones are willing to invite anyone in for a key swapping night without what seems any need for testing/vetting. There has been talk of a variety of different styled party’s etc. etc. need I go on, this is by far the best community I have ever lived in or heard of. Three cheers for Kingswells (and the wealthy ones who make it all possible) WG

How can you get a poll going on this site ? I fancy a quick snack and was wondering which Cavier goes down best with a bottle of Cristal Brut 1999 ? a) Sevruga b) Beluga c) Ostera

Thanks WG, I am thinking of opening up my grounds to the public for a garden party next summer (similar to the Queens but on a bigger scale), I will make sure you get an invite.

Kingswells is a fantastic place to live, some people do not know how lucky they are, especially the ones with the 4 x 4 s and the oily husbands

This debate has got me thinking ....like Mr.5 Bed I too have a 5 bedroom house, no debts, a lovely wife who works but doesn't need to, one of my 2 cars is even a 4x4. But I was thinking am I any happier than when I was poorly paid and living in a flat? After thinking about this over a few bottles of a fine ale I have concluded that YES I AM. Is Kingswells boring ? I leave you with this thought...... ..Reality is a matter of perception.

Mr Toff As I sit here watching a tradesman install a 42" Plasma in my downstairs toilet, I must agree with you.

A 42" Plasma in the guest toilet, Jesus I never thought of that! I do have one in the family room and one in the snooker room but the guest toilet..thats just vintage and would please the guests. By the way where is the girl with the chip on her shoulder? there is some great ideas for her big house when she can afford it. WG

Is 42" Plasma some sort of code for toilet humour ? Personally I don't even have the heating on in the guest loo, it gets them out of there a lot quicker !

Try the Cristal '97 - much better than the '99. In fact, you can give the '99 to the 3 beds on your next tour of the ghetto - they'll be grateful for any pleasure they can get.

Thanks for the Cristal advice, I just cracked open a bottle of the 97 and I my findings are the 1997 vintage is a yellow-green with fleeting glints of gold. The intense nose is rich and intensely fruity, with a master balance of freshness and maturity. Notes of citrus follow a background of red berries and due to fermentation in French oak barrels there are a subtle notes of baking and toasted almonds. The palate is rounded with a pefect bouquet of youthfulness and maturity. The richness and structure of the 1996 vintage is beautifully balanced by good acidity producing a wine with character, finesse and elegance.

I'm getting memories of when I lived in a smaller dwelling and I used to partake in the finest Lambrisco which I would have described in the same way you have described the 1997 Vintage. Do you think its the same company? Or was my palate a little naive back then? DP

Bee, If you really want the big house you must consider toning down the vulgarity or you will never be part/accepted by the other half. GS
