In light of the closure of the Bucksburn road does anyone out there know if there is a Cycle/footpath from Kingswells to Bucksburn? If so where is it situated?

There's a footpath from the bridge on Kingswells Crescent, follows the Bucks Burn for a bit - you can walk through to Bucksburn, would be OK for a mountain bike, you might need to carry in a couple of places. You can get by the roadworks if you don't mind hauling your bike round fences and over stacks of pipes! I have asked the council about a safe cycle route to Bucksburn/Dyce a couple of times, but never got any firm committment. They prefer to spend their Scottish Executive handouts on an unused path around the airport perimeter, where the road is already plenty wide enough for safe cycling... So much for encouraging cycling to school or work.
