Does anybody agree that the traffic is moving much better around the rush hour now the traffic lights on the Kingswells roundabout have been turned off? No tail backs especially from Westhill to Kingswells.

??? Traffic lights were on this morning (Wednesday). What I want to know is why Hunter Construction aren't doing any overtime to get the Newhills road open quicker. After a long day at work the last thing I want to do is drive around the back of Brimmond Hill on single track roads, risking a head on collision with cars coming the other way, then to join the slow crawl back to Kingswells along the Westhill road. If only someone would build a 4 lane by-pass ! Perhaps the current road closure is punishment for Kingswells daring to object to the WPR.

Brimmond Hill is a lovely road it's the idiots that make it unsafe. The punishment for Kingswells objecting to the WPR will be a camp site for the travellers.....just wait & see !!!!

I think the traffic is flowing better because of the road closure and not the turned off lights. The real test will come when the road is re-opened.

It maybe because the road is closed, the schools are off - so no mums driving kids to school and this is the holiday period, so folk aren't travelling to work. Just a lot less traffic on the road in general - great if you are driving from Kingswells to the south or centre of Aberdeen. Not so great if you're heading north.

How bad is the signposting of the road closure!? I'm still seeing irate drivers arrive at the "road closed" sign at Derbeth. The yellow sign as you come off the roundabout ain't very obvious (even though they have now cut the grass which was obscuring it) Anyhow, it's great to be able to cycle round to Kirkhill/Tyrebagger without the risk of being mowed down (or causing a 1-mile tailback)
