Can anyone tell me why some of the residents of Kingswood Mews are getting so upset about people parking at the end of their street? I often park there when I take the children down to school on Fairley Road. It's a wide enough road for cars to pass and I don't see any problems. I believe that some of the residents want double yellow lines painted...why?

I understand the problems include: 1. Lack of privacy when cars park close by living room and bedroom windows. 2. Younger football players change in the street next to the parked cars. 3. Inconsiderate parking opposite driveways. This causes difficulty for some of the residents accessing their driveway. I am sure that you are not the only person to park in this area. I can imagine the continual coming and going of cars could be annoying. The decisive test is to ask yourself how you would feel if you lived in this area.

I would never dream of parking in front of someone's house. I only park near the entrance, before the houses. I wasn't aware that people were parking all along the street, I've never seen cars there myself, that's why I couldn't understand the level of concern.
