Sorry you don't like the KCC site. Perhaps with some constructive comments it could be improved. The idea is to have one site eventually, but if I put the 400 articles on this site you would not be able to find anything. Essentially this site deals with general community news and KCC deal with planning and public information. So there is no real conflict having two sites. All the facilities on the KCC site are not offered here, so until then we will probably have two sites. There is supposed to be a future up grade to this site. You will have to speak to Claire to find out when that might be. Ian

When I very first launched Kingswells.com in April 2001. There didn't appear to be any websites relating to kingswells - and I did a considerable amount of research. The website started out with just 14 static pages, which grew over the years to over 60 pages. As you can imagine that takes a far amount of time to keep updating everything. Hence the re-launch of the Kingswells.com in April 2005. This new site is powered by DotNetNuke Content Mangement system, which is being heralded as the future of the Web. It allows novice users to easily add/edit content on the website with little or no effort. I am pleased to say we have just under 20 editors from a whole range of groups and organisations in the community, ranging from the Parish church to the local community bobby. The web site has always remained a non-commercial venture, funded by myself, with the exception of occasional donations from various supportive residents. But I do wish to say a very big thank you to Graeme Coutts who gave of his time to research the various Content Management Systems on the market and it is due to his hard work that the technical aspect of this web site works so smoothly. Graeme and I are looking at future opportunities for the Kingswells.com and we will keep you informed of these new developments. I hope you enjoy using the Kingswells.com and you will tell your friends and neighbours about it. Kingswells.com the real web site for the community of Kingswells. Kind regards Claire Burt Keeping that many pages updated was proving time consuming, so I
