Anyone know who owns the wall at the end of the bit of grass outside the school steps which leads to the community centre? Is it owned by the community centre? I've been passing recently on the way to pick up my daughter and seen several very small children running on there without realising the height of the drop on the other side of the wall onto the slabs. At the school side where the grass patch is, it only a foot or so high, but about 6 feet at the other side. It seems only a matter of time before a child tries to jump it and has a major accident. Also, if parents don't come through the shopping centre, some of them maybe don't realise the height of the drop on the other side. This wall could really do with a fence to prevent an accident considering there are literally hundreds of kids at some times of the day there. x

ps - no smart comments about how the parents should control their kids please. This is not about parents and kids, but about safety and the chances of accidents.

I'd contact Peter Stehen, the local councillor, if I were you. I'm all for a fence being erected there too.

I have written to Peter about this. He has already replied and says he will have a look at it and if he agrees with me, he will write to the relevant department. If anyone else is concerned, might be worth writing to him too. Thanks for the advice.
