| The thread about the house price conspiracy theory has disappeared. I don't see where the Forum rules were broken here. One posting may have been offensive, but why not just remove that one posting rather than the whole thread? |

| I agree.
Perhaps a lighter touch from our moderator is called for.

| Ever run a web site ? It consumes every available moment.
It isn’t the moderator’s responsibility to sift through every post line by line and make judgements about admissibility. It’s the moderator’s role to manage the forum as a whole effectively. If a thread is causing offence, being disrespectful or anti-social the moderator is entitled by the rules of the forum to make the judgement to delete the whole thing. In practice the moderator is pretty generous, I feel, with some of the worthless junk that sometimes appears.
Too many people forget that having a community web site, maintained and paid for by the considerable efforts of a very few, is not an entitlement but a privilege.

| Dry you eyes, the thread wasn't being disrespectful or offensive and it certainly wasn't anti social.

| I look at the forum most days and the longest it ever takes to read the new posts is 5 minutes.
I appreciate the effort made by the few in running the website but I wouldn't think effective moderation was a difficult or time consuming task. |

| Exactly, then again Kingswells doesn't have all those key swapping parties so doesn't really appeal to the rich and famous as much as Westhill. |

| Well if that's what it does for house prices, we'd better have some key swapping round our way then ! I'll tell the wife. |

| Profile description from one of the solicitors.
We all get lumped together.
Kingswells & Westhill
These are newer communities with the housing stock having been built principally within the last twenty years. Well situated for those working in Aberdeen city, Westhill being situated only 7 miles from Aberdeen and Kingswells being a mere 5 miles away. Both have an established infrastructure with community centre, shops and primary education being provided at Kingswells and both primary and secondary at Westhill.
