Who is Responsible for clearing this are as its an accident waiting to happen !!! kingswells.guest Posts:0 06 Mar 2006 15:01:41 Alert  Agree that there has been an uncommonly prodigious fall of snow this past week. I waded for the papers yesterday through knee deep snow from south Kingswells. In fairness to the local council though, they are not equipped to meet such a snow clearing demand. This amount of snow has only fallen every few decades in Aberdeen. If they remained on standby for it every year your council tax bill would substantially higher. For example, the snow clearance charges alone for a modest apartment in the Alps are now £2000/year. Then people would be moaning about paying council tax for snow clearance operations that were hardly ever used. Thats what we did around the shops and pub in Bieldside.
