As a resident of Wellside Place just wondering if anybody else in the area has cmplained about the teenagers who hang around the playpark on the pathway from Wellside Place round to the school/shops. Several weekends they have loud blaring music and general noise. I have spoken to the police about it but they seem unable/unwilling to help. |

hI I am also a Wellside Place resident, and I have phoned the crimstoppers number nearly every time these youth have appeared on a Fri/Sat night. I usually give them 1/2 hr, but If I see them drinking, or likewise, call immediately.
I do not think I have seen the police check it out even once. I also e-mailed Reg Geddes, but no response. Very frustrating- So much for 'intelligence led policing'. However, if residents do call up and complain regularily, their figures will reflect that, and eventually something will be done, so don't give up.
Our area will only improve when all residents stop ignoring the problem, and become proactive. It is the same with Wellside Close- very often on a Fri/Sat night there are residents there screaming and shouting at each other, often until 3-4 am. Extremely annoying.
Be assured you are not alone in being frustrated with this. |
