Was advised that KCC objected to proposals for houses at Craibstone Golf Club.
Is anyone else aware of this? |

The following is from the Kingswells Community Council minutes of 9th November 2009
"Presentation by Stephen Harrod (craibstone). KCC have previously seen this proposal as a planning application. Kcc raised some concerns as comments to the application"
Not very informative, I can't remember any public consultation by KCC on this matter |

Have to agree with the above comment.
KCC seem to putting forward the views of the council and not that of the residents.
I am maybe wrong but if you are not aware of the web site, where are the views of the residents gathered. |

I have followed your comments on this forum and also on the other website. I am in full agreement with the views you express on this matter.
Unfortunately the individual who responded has full control over content on the other website and has refused to discuss further. The individual concerned has a history of not listening, arrogance, rudeness and making unsubstantiated claims, this has greatly upset a number of Kingswells residents in the past. There is a reluctance on my part to interact with this individual due to his dismissive attitude and this may be the case with other members of the community.
Despite your three separate requests "for a thread which advised the community on KCC thoughts, to allow residents to post if they agree or not" the decision has been taken not to do this, but to post all kingswells planning applications instead.
I am sure readers will decide if the community views are being determined and expressed.
Or if "KCC make dozens of decisions every month on behalf of the community"

I agree with the above comments.
What is the purpose of a KCC website, if not to inform the community what is being done in there name? Anyone can check planning applications on the ACC website. |

Putter and alsoone, thanks you for posting your support with what I think is a reasonable request.
I have had no previous contact with any member of the KCC. I appreciate the time and effort that is put into a CC, however, from previous experience, sometimes the motive individuals have for serving on same is not what it should be.
I am not saying that KCC come into the above category but I cannot understand the resistance to post their views on an open forum. |
