Scottish Water came to see me and told me that as the water was gravity fed from the Kingswells reservoir then thats it !!! He said they could place a pump at the reservoir but that that would cost a heap of money to fit and maintain etc. So people that live on my level of the hill are all in the same boat. He also told me that there are some places in Kingswells where the water pressure is too High. Shame we couldn't get an even pressure all over a ??? I think KCC should pay for a pump at Kingswells reservoir - don't you ??

Where do you stay? I'm in Wellside Circle and think the pressure is too high. Got a new pressurised system fitted a couple of months ago, can only turn the shower on to one third!!

I'm at Bethlin Mews. We've just had a new combi boiler fitted and a new bathroom. I've learnt since then that you can't have a booster pump fitted if you have a combi boiler. I wish I'd have known all this before we started. I would have changed to underfloor heating and zoooped up the pressure on the water - but hey ho it's to late now. The guy from Scottish Water said there are some areas in Kingswells who have high water pressure because they are fed by a different reservoir - oh tut tut tut. Nevermind !!!
p.s. Can I come around to your place for a shower one day ??? hehe

Not so good about the pressure. I looked at all the options for a new boiler and was sold on the pressurised system. It was more expensive but what a difference, certainly wakes you up in the morning.
Sorry, did I say shower, its more like a waterfall !!. And yes, your more than welcome, only problem is, you wont want to go back to your one!!!
