12 Nov 2008 18:10:45 Alert
Forum members may have noticed that recently Kingswells Community Council no longer participates within Kingswells.com Forum. We wrote an article for inclusion in the last Kingswells News to explain to all Kingswells residents the rationale for this decision but, unfortunately, it did not go to print. This is an edited version.

Recently, KCC have experienced some concerns trying to communicate through the forum. Trying to resolve sensitive issues in the public forum setting is not ideal as KCC respects confidentiality. Abusive comments towards KCC members (who are all volunteers) are unproductive and upsetting. KCC actively encourages debate through the appropriate avenues and we are open to, listen to, and take on constructive criticism. However, in future, KCC members will not respond to comments made on the forum. (Of course, all individual community councillors are completely free to continue to contribute to represent their personal views on the forum.) Please contact KCC directly by any of the following official means.

1. email kcc@kwells.org
2. post a letter in the village centre post box between the 2 notice boards
3. contact a KCC member…

Kingswells residents are very welcome to attend our meetings on every second Monday night of the month in the Community Centre at 8pm. We’ll be delighted to meet you and discuss openly any issues you may want to raise. Likewise, any matter you wish to discuss with us confidentially will be treated with due respect and privacy. Our meetings tend to be as informal as possible – so do come along and meet us! We are here to represent your views and try to work to improve Kingswells!
