I'm also keen to hear what the Community Council plan to do with the grant, it would be such a waste if some or all of it was lost because a decision couldn't be made. Given that the school are having to make cuts left right and centre due to the council cut backs it would be criminal for the community to have this extra money and then not put it to good use.

I'm guessing if you want a guaranteed reply you should post on:

http://kwells.org/kwells3//forum

kwells.org is the website of the community council.

Why there is a need for two separate websites I'm not sure, but hey, there are. There are also links to e-mail people etc. on that website.

Fiona,

You have a very unfortunate way of communicating your views, and I only suggested that your comments were less than charming. I found your comments insulting and dismissive of the good work that the volunteers that make up KCC do for the village.

When your last response indicated that you were insulted by my response then I removed the whole thread from the website.

I was advised that you were at the beginning of the KCC meeting tonight. It would have been good if you had identified yourself as it would be good to put a face to some of the faceless messages that make up this forum.

I said that I would let you know what the outcome of your queries were - so here it is:

Dolly has indicated that she is too busy to take on any more activities in December, so KCC will attempt to organise a carol singing event with the co-operation of the school and the community centre. A date has been chosen, but it is too soon to advertise it as there are still many details to work out. Lookout for official notification on posters around the village.

Stan McEwan will be trying to organise a Gala day / weekend next year, but this is too much work for KCC and a dedicated committee will be required to make this project a success. One of the main things that KCC would like to see is the community coming together to create a fun day. Given your talents, I am sure you would be a welcome member of the Gala Committee.

Ian
