Due to the industrial dispute at Aberdeen City Council there has been no kerbside recycling collection in Kingswells today. Consequently there are lots of boxes and bags outside residents homes still full of papers products and glass and plastic products unemptied.
My question is to the Kingswells Community Council did you know that this would be the result of the dispute and if so would it not have been a good idea to have put something on this website
to advise residents. I realise that not all residents log on to the site but "word of mouth" is a great form of communication and there would have been a good deal of people at the school on Tuesday.
I look forward to a comment from a KCC spokesperson

Well KCC that certainly told us. My point was that if you had put something on the "community" website then maybe it would have got round the village that residents should not put out the recycle boxes and bags on Wednesday morning.
My comments on the "Kingswells News" thread just highlighted the problem. Because you were not "officially advised" you say nothing.

I think that you will find the majority of Kingswells residents, watch the news, read the local papers and are generally aware of what is happening in the area. I dont think an entry on the website would have had the same circulation.
Sounds as if you are trying to have a pop at KCC for whatever reason, and on this occasion failed miserably :whistling:
