Is there any way for KCC to request the community police officer to conduct regular speed checks on the main roads? The problems with cars doing 35 - 40 seem to be as bad as ever. I remember there were some checks done a while (maybe 1.5 - 2 years) ago, but I don't know if there has been anything since? i was just wondering if KCC was able to influence regular policing activities in the area? Thanks, KS |

KS, Speed checks are done from time to time, but this is only one of Reg's duties. Can you be more specific about where the speeding is taking place. Reg will do speed checks when requested, but he needs more information. Thanks Ian |

| You can contact Reg direct. You can find his number listed under the governance section. His email address can be found on posters at the Community Centre, School office window and, I think, the Chemist. No real need to involve KCC. |

Ian, Kingswells Crescent seems to be pretty bad, especially over the bridge.
Fiona, I felt that this may be best co-ordinared by one body as opposed to individuals reporting things. However, if KCC feel this is not apprpriate I will happily pursue in other ways. |

KS, It is probably better for stats to make the call yourself, but I should be seeing Reg on Wednesday. I can mention then, but that will not then reflect in the stats. The contact for the police non-emergencies is 0845 600 5700 Ian |
