Only following determined resistance did we narrowly miss being forced by Labour into accommodating a football stadium in greenbelt. Now we appear to have been lined for another travesty of public administration over a camp-site in what, following a protracted and expensive public inquiry, we were assured would be a facility to get people out of cars and on to public transport. Indeed is enjoying substantial public subsidy for this purpose. At the same time the council is now forcing people back into cars it is merrily hoping the Scottish Government will fund 90% of a WPR to ease congestion. A Scottish Government openly seeking costs to cut. The irony that we have once again been betrayed by an individual ostensibly elected to represent Kingswells' interests will not be lost on the community. They may feel that everyone will have forgotten all about it by the time they come to offer their next pledges of devotion to us. They should not fool themselves. We will actively remember.

Hi Mike I seen you in action a few years ago at one of the Stewart Milne Pitodrie roads show. Waving your cheque book in front of Milne, Ironside & What's his name. That was indeed a very interesting gesture. Have you ever considered representing Kingswells in an official capacity?

Hi Frank, yes I remember that extraordinary event well. The executive and members of Aberdeen City Council sharing the promotional platform in strict neutrality with a principal beneficiary. Kingswells Community Council is doing a great job, and they have my full support and thanks. This is how the members of the Area North Committee voted. For the motion (to site a Travellers Halt at the Park & Ride) : Motion(6) John Reynolds Bridge of Don Liberal Democrats Gordon Leslie Bridge of Don Liberal Democrats Mark McDonald Dyce/Bucksburn/Danestone SNP George Penny Dyce/Bucksburn/Danestone Liberal Democrats Kevin Stewart Northfield SNP Wendy Stuart Kingswells/Sheddocksley SNP For the amendment (to review the strategy for Travellers) Amendment(5) Peter Stephen Kingswells/Sheddocksley Liberal Democrats Ronald Clark Dyce/Bucksburn/Danestone Liberal Democrats Barney Crockett Dyce/Bucksburn/Danestone Scottish Labour Gordon Graham Northfield Scottish Labour Willie Young Bridge of Don Scottish Labour Of particular interest is the voting behaviour of Councillor Wendy Stuart, who solemnly undertook only in May to represent the residents of Kingswells/Sheddocksley. In October she voted with her SNP colleagues for the residents of Kingswells to enjoy the benefits of a Travellers' Halt. Had she not identified these benefits for Kingswells the motion might well not have been carried.

So do we assume her vote was a way to get back at those "rude" people she encountered at the meeting in the Community Centre?

Assume it if you like but, for the record, Wendy Stuart didn't appear on the platform in any capacity. I don't recall her being a member of the council at the time. Are you suggesting she should have declared an interest?

Apologies if I've got my wires crossed. Who was it that was upset by the reaction of residents at the meeting in Sept in the upstairs room at the CC? The post, with the link to the article in the EE about it, seems to have been removed.

I have been in contact with Peter Stephens about another matter, so i replied back with some concerns about the GT's halting site and also cc'd Wendy Stuart stating my displeasure with her views and how the SNP are failing us on this issue I still await a reply from her
