Glad you like the new look. Greame has worked really hard to turn our design ideas into reality. I hope you come to the official switch on tomorrow, at the Community Centre at 6pm Saturday 17th May. Free drink and buffet bring your neighbours:cool: Claire Burt |

Graeme, Nice clean design, and simple to use; but I find the text size is very small. The photo on the home page is very big and fills the screen on my laptop, so I have to scroll to see any articles. It would be good if the owner of a post to the forum could edit it. Good to see the latest posts are at the top. Would be good if the link to add new posts to the website were at the top of the page rather than the bottom. The dynamic turning of pages of a PDF is a cool feature. Well done. |

| Well done to all involved in the new look web site. Sorry to be picky but I do agree with Ian that the picture is very big. It would be good if the latest posts in the forum could be viewed first. :) |

| The new website does look great although I have to agree with the others about the size of the picture. Well done to everyone responsible for Kingswells.com and also The Kingswells News. |

Graeme, Please consider the following suggestions: Adding new articles takes ages with the new word processor form. The form is good, but it should not be as slow as it is. The poll does not work. A choice to preview an article before submitting would be good. Ian |

Forgot to say the feature to 'remember' your login id does not work. Is would be good if your preference to display new or old posting first could be remembered set in a cookie. Ian |

Graeme, Can I suggest that the home page clearly shows the end / start of each article. If the folk that are posting are using highlighting to make their article more obvious then those that don't disappear into the body of the highlighted articles. See the KCC Agenda is an example. Is it now OK to post full articles on the home page? Ian |

Ian, Good idea on the article separator - we will get that coded ASAP. I do not believe it's appropriate to be adding full articles in the article description. As you are aware the article software permits a short description and a full article to be uploaded. In my opinion a description should be no more than 4-5 lines. I will ensure that all content managers are aware of this. Thanks for the continuing feedback. |

Ian, I can now respond to all of the comments/feedback you have made for the new site: 1) I find the text size is very small Text size has been adjusted throughout the site. 2) Would be good if the owner of a post could edit it Owners can now edit their forum posts 3) Adding new articles takes ages with the new word processor form. I agree that its a big chunk of HTML to retrieve to your PC but the images should cache making successive displays of the page much faster. There is not much I can do to reduce the size of this editor whilst retaining the full functionality of the word processor commands. I will continue to investigate. 4) The poll does not work The poll now works. 5) A choice to preview an article before submintting would be good. Yes it would! Unfortunately this is not supported in the current release of the software. I have sent an email to the source developers asking for this feature. 6) would be good if the preference to display new or old posting first could be remembered set in a cookie You can set this option by storing the value in your forum profile. On the forum page, choose My Profile and then Edit Profile. There are some preferences at the bottom of the page which include the options to 'Sort Posts' 7) Can i suggest that the home page clearly shows the start/end of an article An article separator is now in place on the Home page. 8) 'remember your login id does not work' This function now works. But will only remember the login id if you close the browser window whilst still logged in. If you logout from kingswells.com using the 'Logout' command the 'remembered' login id is forgotten. I think I have addressed all your outstanding issues. If there is something that remains outstanding or you have any more feedback to provide then please get in touch. |

Graeme. Thank you so very much for all your hard work. Thank you for all the time spent moving over the content from the older website. The time spent incorporating the design we created, so it is aligned with the newsletter - Kingswells News. Thank you for the huge amount of time you have spent following up on feed-back and continuing to support the site I am sure many people don't really appreciate the effort and commitment that is involved in such a large project. But can I say we really are extremely proud and appreciative of all your help, support and patience. Thanks from Claire Burt, Bert Noble and Margaret Miller. |

Graeme, Can you please have a look at the forum. There is no way to highlight any text. Can you please enable text formatting. If would be useful to add quotes from previous posts, and urls. Thanks Ian |
